Worried About A Drop In Engagement Rates?

I’m in a couple of LinkedIn email marketing groups.

Rarely do I ever check for new posts. But when I do, I get some pretty interesting questions.

For example, here’s one I came across not too long ago.

----------

Has anyone noticed a drop in engagement rates with Gmail users? I was wondering if more of our emails are now being placed into the Promo folder rather than Primary as there is a dip in Open and Click rates over the past months. Nothing changed on our side. Was wondering if Gmail made adjustments on their algorithm to add more senders to Promo?

----------

This is a problem you wouldn’t have to worry about if you write emails the way I teach in How to Become an Email Titan, and if you email frequently. Ideally, if you email daily.

By doing so, you’ll solve a couple of problems:

1. The problem above. Assuming your readers enjoy reading your emails and you email frequently, your readers will notice if they suddenly stop receiving your emails and might even take the time to search for them in the promo or spam folder.

2. And if they enjoy reading your emails, that means more engagement, which also means it’s more likely your emails will be sent to your readers’ primary inboxes.

3. Your readers won’t forget you. When you send emails once a month, once every two weeks, or maybe even once a week, your readers can easily forget that they were even on your list. And I’m speaking from personal experience as well. The people who email me daily are harder to forget than the ones who email me once every two weeks or once a month.

Hopefully this information helps you out in one way or another. If you’d like more help, then I suggest you read my book, which talks all about writing sales emails that your readers will enjoy receiving.
